INNOspace Weekend by DLR und INNOspace – Die Mentoren

Das erste INNOspace Weekend rückt näher! Das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) und INNOspace kommen im September in den Space und es wird sich alles um Startups und Raumfahrt und um die Themen Automotive, Logistics und Space drehen!

Mit dabei sind auch zahlreiche Mentoren für die GründerInnen und Startups.


During the event a number of mentors will be available, whom you can ask questions on their field of expertise. Be sure to learn as much as possible from them to develop your business concept. Check their availability on each of the days and use the opportunity to Skype with remote mentors.

GründerInnen und Startups, die beim ersten INNOspace Weekend dabei sind, haben also die Möglichkeit, sich während des Wochenendes mit hochkarätigen Mentoren auseinanderzusetzen und sich Feedback zu ihren Business Models von Experten zu holen.

Die Mentoren

INNOspace und DLR haben sich ordentlich für Euch ins Zeug gelegt und wirklich spannende Mentoren für Euch an den Start geholt. Unter anderen sind dabei:

Angeliki Kapoglou

Angeliki Kapoglou is a design strategist focusing on large-scale systems & business design. She grew her career at CERN, NASA & ESA. Her UCL MSc thesis was in collaboration with the ISS Utilization Office at ESTEC, and she has worked with JPL’s Innovation Foundry on design methodologies for early space mission concept formulation. Moreover, after spending the last year at one of the world’s leading centres for innovation, Stanford’s, Angeliki became interested in applying Human – Centered Design as a strategic planning tool for international space exploration. She is the focal point of the synthesis of the Moon Village Association.

Prof. Walter Peeters

Prof. Peeters started his career in industry and followed this by several management positions in ESA. He is the author of the book ‚Space Marketing‘ and has published over 80 articles on incentive contracting, space tourism, space commercialisation and New Space. Since 2000 he has been linked to International Space University as Professor of Space Business and Management, with functions as Dean and President. He is also the Director of The International Institute of Space Commerce, a think-tank for commercial space applications, as well as the organiser of Business Plan competitions at the International Space University annually. He is an advisor to commercialisation activities in Luxembourg and Baltic countries.

Kai Thierhoff

Kai Thierhoff is the founder and owner of Thierhoff Consulting. At the University of Cologne, he first studied economics. After completing his degree in 1991, he graduated from the renowned European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. Already during his studies he worked on well-known strategy consultations like the Boston Consulting Group and the Matrix GmbH in Düsseldorf. Kai Thierhoff has been the initiator, founder and active partner of a number of companies for many years, as well as a valued consultant for domestic and foreign customers. He has more than 15 years of experience in the media, tourism and IT industries. Kai Thierhoff is also a professor at the Rheinische Fachhochschule in Cologne. In his lectures he concentrates on digital media, start-up management and venture capital / growth financing. As a coach, he was active at many start-up competitions and was also a juror in the startup casting show „Mit Liebe gemacht“ (WDR & einsfestival, 2013/2014). Since 2008, he has organised start-up conferences such as the Freigeist Conference, the ADVANCE International Web & Startup Conference, and INTERACTIVE COLOGNE since 2013, and is also a member of the Executive Board of the Hochschulgründernetz Cologne.

William Pomerantz (via Skype)

Will Pomerantz is Vice President of Special Projects at Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Orbit, the innovative launch provide for small satellites. He’s also a co-founder of the Brooke Owens Fellowship Program, Chair of the Board of Advisors for the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, and on the Editorial Board for ROOM: A Space Journal. Will is a graduate of Harvard University, the NASA Academy, and the International Space University.
